Spend an inspiring and exhilarating day in North Kohala, a land of stunning beauty and profound cultural significance. Zipline high above the forest floor, picnic with stunning views of the North Kohala valleys and swim under a private waterfall fed by a cool mountain stream. Two popular tours (Kohala Waterfall Adventure and Kohala Canopy Tour) are combined into one action-packed day where you will stroll by secluded waterfalls in a private nature reserve, swim and play under a private waterfall and enjoy lunch at a private picnic site. Enjoy a fun, off-road drive through private lands in an open-air 6WD Pinzgauer and fly through the full aerial canopy course, led by two certified guides.

Time: Tour is approx. 8 hours. Travel time round-trip is approx. 3.75 hrs.
Restrictions: Physical – Must weigh between 70 and 270 lbs. Guests will be weighed at check-in. Must be able to walk over uneven terrain and handle short climb. This tour is not suitable for expectant mothers.
What to Bring & Wear: Closed-toe shoes required. Bring a bathing suit (can be worn under clothes), hat, sunscreen, and a light jacket or sweatshirt.

Every Wednesday, join us to Mālama 'Āina and venture to the Waikoloa Dry Forest for a conservation project to help restore a critical Hawaiian habitat before ascending to Maunakea for sunset and stargazing. In 2023, Hawaii Forest & Trail guests along with Waikoloa Dry Forest Initiative volunteers collected a combined 13 lbs of seeds (equivalent to 8+ million seeds)!
