Tucked into the hillsides above Lahaina, Maui Ku‘ia Estate Chocolate offers a rare encounter with chocolate at its source. From a covered, open-air pavilion, views
extend across the ocean, the West Maui Mountains, and the farm into the distance
— where the estate’s signature Maui-grown cacao begins its journey. Visitors may
tour the working chocolate factory to witness the full bean-to-bar process firsthand,
explore the cacao farm on a guided tour, or simply relax with a visit to the retail
store, café, and bar, open daily from 9 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Upstairs, handcrafted cocktails
— including the signature Chocolate Martini — and curated wines and spirits are
thoughtfully paired with the estate’s own chocolate, with Sunset Jazz evenings
drawing the community in on select nights. Weekly nonprofit tours, fundraising
events, and direct donations from select sales ensure each visit has an opportunity
to give something back to the island.
