In a collaboration blending Hollywood charm with island-inspired flavors, Sydney Agudong, star of Disney’s Lilo & Stitch, has partnered with Grand Wailea, A Waldorf Astoria Resort, to debut the Island Buzz sundae. The sundae begins with a base of Cosmic Bliss, a plant-based soft serve beloved at Erewhon, and builds from there into something unmistakably rooted in place. The toppings draw from Agudong’s home island of Kaua‘i, reflecting its landscape and agricultural roots: locally sourced coffee crumble nods to the island’s coffee farms, and a chocolate-dipped kiawe (mesquite) macadamia nut biscotti adds texture and subtle smokiness. Layered atop is a silky coconut glaze infused with brewed coffee, deepening the dessert’s complexity. Bright liliko‘i (passion fruit) cuts through with a clean acidity, and a scattering of edible flowers offers a visual homage to Kaua‘i’s garden-like terrain.
